When can ESBL contact precautions be removed?

Helpful question?

A question that has come up many times during rounds in the hospital. A patient with a previously documented hx of ESBL presented to hospital for other reasons without any signs of active infection, and is placed on contact isolation due to the previous hx. At what point can we consider or determine if we can discontinue contact precautions on these patients?
